Versatility
The Azimut automatic garage door motor fits a diverse range of garage doors including basic canopy, retractable and sectional styles. It is capable of automating retractable and sectional garage doors to up to 2.25m in height and canopy doors up to 2.45m in width , offering a great solution to those who would like to automate their garage door but don’t wish to replace their existing garage door:
Automating canopy garage doors
Traditional ‘up and over’ garage doors are easy to automate using the Azimut automatic garage door motor. To see whether you have a canopy garage door check for the following:
- A single, large spring running across the top of the garage door
- Vertical rollers running up each door post
- The door protrudes about two feet from the door frame when open
Please note when automating canopy garage doors, the purchase of canopy bow arms from our range of optional accessories is strongly recommended to add stability.
Automating retractable garage doors
Retractable garage doors can also be automated quickly and simply using the Azimut garage door motor. To check whether your existing door is retractable, look out for:
- Two large springs at either side of the door
- Rollers running in a track at around head height
- When open, retractable doors will generally be flush to the garage door frame
Automating sectional garage doors
Well suited to automation using the Azimut garage door motor, a sectional garage door can be identified by its:
- Being split into several 500 mm wide panels that hinge horizontally across the door
- When being opened, the door will rise up the door post before coming to a rest on tracks below the ceiling
The latest technology
Using the latest digital technology, the Azimut garage door motor has been designed to provide the ultimate performance while meeting the needs of safety, convenience and security:
Performance
- Quiet operation – the chain transport system runs on a galvanised steel rail
- Self-learning programming for ease of set up with a soft start and stop for smooth operation
Safety
The Azimut garage door motor has been designed with safety a priority:
- Pressure sensors with programmable thresholds can detect obstacles that get in the way of a closing door at any height – be it a pet, child or your car bonnet
- A built-in courtesy light alerts you and others when the door is in operation
- Option to make your door even safer by purchasing an infrared sensor safety system that will automatically reverse the door if the beam is broken (with pressure sensor system the door needs to touch the obstacle)
Convenience
User-friendly from installation and beyond, the Azimut garage door motor is packed with handy features, including:
- An external control keypad and LED display, making it easy to change control functions without the need to open the protective casing
- The option to purchase a high security release kit that will allow manual operation of the automated garage door in the case of power cut or loss of transmitter
Security
You will have the ability to use 'rolling code' transmitters with your Azimut garage door motor. This means a new code can be automatically generated each time the door is closed, drawing from billions of codes, to prevent potential thieves from ‘grabbing’ the code and helping to ensure the contents of your garage and home remain safe and secure.
